I Made it thru Chemo Treatment # 1

Boy was I sacred this morning! So I took an anti anxiety pill and fell asleep for hours. I woke up with enough time to shower and put on some makeup. What I learned from yesterday's seminar, you have to look good to feel good.

Anyway, I got there at 1:00 and they took my blood and vitals and then brought me to the Chemo room. It is a really big room with lots of reclining chairs. Each chair had a blanket, pillow and a personal TV. I was expecting snacks, but there were none. They do have magazines and tables by each chair and said I bring my own food if I want. I heard if I eat ice pops during treatment I won't get mouth soars.

My Mommy was there with me while they put the needle and first stuff in my port. Since it was going to be two more hours, I sent her and Dad shopping for me.
The time went by quickly, I had the TV, my ipod and just sat back and relaxed. I was really cold. They say it is from the drugs. Next time I wear socks!

I am home now. My personal assistants (Mom and Dad) came in, made me soup, folded my laundry and then went home. I just took the third type of anti-nausea medicine. I wrote it all down so I can remember what I took when. I feel lightheaded and woozy, and just my mouth is a little watery, but overall not bad at all.

The boys are going to dinner and a movie with their father. So I am going to take another nap now. Maybe I will wake up in time for the debate.... No too boring, that will just put me back to sleep. I will update you all tomorrow. Thanks for reading.
